One of my favorite books, and one that greatly influenced my writing was Anne Sexton's LOVE POEMS. I think I first read these poems when I was 19 or 20. There is something really interesting about how Anne Sexton wrote, the throwing of images and immense amount of heart. Anne Sexton is good.
